Alex Lagon is a recent graduate of the University of Mary Washington where she received a B.A in theatre. She is an enthusiastic actor and teaching artist located in the DMV area.
While at the University of Mary Washington, she performed in Julius Caesar, The Play That Goes Wrong, Men on Boats, Matilda: The Musical, and Twelfth Night. She is trained in the Hagen method and Laban Movement Efforts. She is a highly focused and flexible actor who dives headfirst into every role. Additionally, she is a mezzo-soprano with classical voice training who loves singing musical theater. Alex is currently learning how to play the piano and has a functional knowledge of French.
As an educator, she focuses on creating a supportive classroom that values process over product. Young performers are encouraged to make mistakes and apply skills from games into their performances. She loves working with all students, but tends to teach grades 3-5. Most recently, Alex was the Young Company Coordinator at Ford’s Theater where she took her skills from the classroom and used them to manage the young cast of A Christmas Carol 2024.
